Subject: Stop Occupy Chicago arrests in Grant Park
Below is an email from Wyl Villacres, a MoveOn member in Chicago who created a petition at SignOn.org that is getting a lot of attention and may be of interest to people in your area. If you have concerns or feedback about this petition, click here.
Dear Chicago MoveOn member,
Don't let the Occupy Chicago movement be forced out of Chicago. Those who occupy the streets need a base where they can stay and peacefully assemble—regardless that the park arbitrarily closes at 11 p.m.
That's why I created a petition to Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel on SignOn.org, which says:
Rahm Emanuel, stop the mass arrests of protesters in Grant Park. Respect their right to peacefully assemble, and allow them to have a base to protest from. Don't let this end like 1968.
Will you sign the petition? Click here to add your name, and then pass it along to your friends:
Thanks!
