ShareMachine Project Lead, MoveOn.org Civic Action

Over the past 18 months, the MoveOn.org website has become a hub for great progressive content, with over 3 million unique visitors per month. We're harnessing Facebook and other social media sites to identify and then amplify the most compelling progressive content on the web. We've seen early evidence of the promise of this model: Our team generated over 17 million views for a video on marriage equality, making it the top political video of 2011.

Now we're ready to take this project, ShareMachine, to the next level. So we're recruiting for a project leader who can oversee a process of analytically-driven development to systematically unearth better and better content and unlock an even bigger audience.

The perfect candidate has extremely strong tech and analytic chops and sensibility, and an interest in developing scalable new organizing models. You are fiercely intelligent, wonderfully creative, and technically savvy. You are able to develop a strong vision to guide a team, and you have the skills to make that vision a reality. And you are excited about figuring out how to harness social media as a major new channel for circulating compelling ideas and building progressive power.
